GREEN POLICY AT GLASGOW BAKERS

We are committed to minimising the impact of our activities on the environment.


The key points of its strategy to achieve this are:

  • Minimise waste by not using, where avoidable, single-use plastic products and avoiding the distribution of any product containing single-use material.

  • Reduce toxic emissions through the selection and use of any vehicles used and the source of its greener energy suppliers.

  • Actively promote recycling, both internally and amongst our customers and suppliers.

  • Source and promote a locally grown range of ingredients to minimise the environmental impact of both production and distribution.

  • Source and promote a British made product range to minimise the environmental impact of both production and distribution.

  • Actively support local food waste initiatives to ensure we minimise any and all food waste material.

  • Promote healthier attitudes towards food, its production and the environment.
